Picwser

For culling photos and video on a Mac.

Point it at a folder and start working. Picwser reads media where it lives, never importing originals into a catalogue, and its three-column window keeps still while you move through a shoot.

  • A window that does not rearrange

The sidebar is always mounted. Opening a folder never shuffles the chrome, so the controls stay where your hand left them.

  • Stars and flags are independent

Every item carries a 0–5 rating plus one exclusive flag, the way professional culling tools work. A photo can be four stars and a favourite.

  • Three ways to look

A fitted viewer with a filmstrip, a wall in square or masonry, and a calendar. The layout is independent of which collection you are in.

  • Reads the folder, owns nothing

No import step, no library file, no lock-in. Your originals stay exactly where you put them.

What Picwser touches

Only the folder you open, and only on your Mac. Ratings and flags are written alongside your files. Nothing is uploaded.
